Basewise (Consultancy) is a consulting firm specialized in systems engineering and project control. With many years of experience at contractors, consultancy firms, and government organizations, Christian van Eken started as an independent consultant under the name Clic-360.

He later founded Basewise with the goal of advising organizations on the application of systems engineering, risk management, project control, and the use of online tools suitable for managing construction projects based on the systems engineering methodology.

The rise of artificial intelligence (AI) inspired Basewise Consultancy to explore and implement AI in construction projects, using quality management systems, systems engineering, and modern contract forms as guiding principles. During this exploration, Christian connected via LinkedIn with Sander de Hoogh, who was already active in the AI field with his company Gysho.

Basewise was looking for a partner to accelerate its AI journey and implement smart AI solutions in practice. This led to the creation of Basewise (AI): a platform that combines the knowledge and expertise of both parties to develop innovative AI solutions, specifically tailored to the sectors in which Basewise Consultancy operates.

Basewise is currently active in the Netherlands, Australia, Canada, and the United States.
